Basic Cultural Education of Sri Goswami started first at home Sattra (Adhar Sattra) under the guidance and direction of his father who was also one of the great Sattriya artists of that time. He learned Sattriya Dance under the guidance of the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award winners, Late Maniram Dutta Muktiar and Late Roseswar Saikia Bayan hailed from Sri Sri Kamalabari Sattra. Shri Goswami became well trained up in the multi coloured Assamese Folk Songs and Dances and Ankia Naat (Bhaona) under the guidance of Kalaguru Bishnu Prasad Rabha. After his relentless endeavour a cultural organization “Pragjyoti Kala Parishad” came into being. Through his organization Shri Goswami visited every Sattra and Namghar of Assam and gathered a number of practical knowledge’s about the Sattriya Dances and Dramas. He visited different parts of the country performing the Sattriya Dances and Dramas. In abroad, especially in Nepal his performances were highly acclaimed.

He performed the unique Sattriya Cultural items in the prominent sessions of different prestigious organizations like Assam Sahitya Sabha, Assam Sangeet NatakAkademi, Asom Sangeet Sanmilon etc. The Ankia Naat “Rukmini Haran” was staged under his direction to the best satisfaction of the audience and critics in the session of the Indian Oriental Conference. He first presented Ankia Naat in Modern Stage. He is the first & only person to form mobile cultural groups of performance of Sattriya Dance and Ankia Naat Bhaonas. He also has been imparting training of Sattriya Dance to the prominent Mobile Theatre groups so as to propagate and channelize the sattriya Dance and Drama on scientific basis by bringing them out from the waterlight compartment of four walls of Sattras. Sri Goswami has got a number of students outside and inside Assam and most of them are now famous.
